"さらちゃんの世界ミュージアムずかん" (Sarah's Illustrated Guide to Museums in the World)

大学の卒業制作作品。

私の持っていた”ミュージアム”の概念を大きく変えた外国のミュージアム。

そのおもしろさを伝えたい！との思いから自らの目で見、体感して得た印象を

イラストレーションで伝えるミュージアムガイドブックを制作。

自分自身を投影したキャラクター「さる」を案内役とし、

全１０館を展示、建物のおもしろさなどの点から５つのカテゴリーに分類し

実際に訪れた私だからこそできる表現で生き生きと紹介。

Illustrated Book / Graduation work

When I was in the graduate, I traveled to many countries and visited to the museums.

Comparing to Japanese museums, they have a lot of "wow" factors,

everything I saw was eye-opening, and so interesting!!

The book is aming at sharing that emotion with other people,

by capturing the museums' features through my lively illustrations and words.

The monkey in the book is myself, as a guide.

(In Japanese, Monkey is "Sa-ru". It sounds like "Sarah", right?)

All information including illustrations and words are

from my “actual” experiences of what I saw, felt, and thought by visiting the museums.

By expressing my actual experiences into my own illustrations,

it was able to express my feeling as much as I can.

Just open the book, and you’ll be in Sarah’s world.
